Arboretum Nový Dvůr

Založeno bylo roku 1958 a nachází se ve výšce 336-354 m.n.m. a plocha je 23 ha.

Nachází se nedaleko od města zvaného Opava. Západně obce Stěbořice. Je to specializovaná botanická zahrada s pěstováním cizokrajných i domácích dřevin. Slovo arboretum je odvozeno z latinského výrazu arbor-to v překladu znamená "strom". Záklsem je v dnešní době bohatá sbírka cizokrajných, domácích dřevin, subtropických a tropických rostlin a dalších zástupců vegetace všech kontinentů. Z necelých 400 druhů, odrůd a forem dřevin na ploše 1,5 ha původní sbírky zámeckého parku převzali dendrologové a zahradníci v roce 1958 do správy necelou polovinu tohoto druhového bohatství, které se dochovalo.

Novodvorská sbírka dřevin vznikla a rozvíjela se v letech 1906-1928, kdy zde působil její tvůrce a majitel Quido Riedel (1878-1946), a dále byla udržována dcerou zakladatele až do r. 1945.
